Main Theme

20th century ended nominally but the world has not escaped from the problematique created by the Western homogeneous philosophy and economy centered paradigm.

20th century was successful in increasing mass economic prosperity, being led by a western model, typically by the “superior” fundamental capitalism. But it has left the unsolved problematique such as income extreme discrepancy, resource and energy wasteful consumption, disposals, climate emergency and unilateralism. The people in the world suffer from its negative legacies even more seriously.
Now it would be the time for Asia and Japan to rescue the world by introducing more tolerance to the others and by understanding us, the humans, being allowed only as an existence within the great nature system.
Japanese culture, science and technology are backed up with quite unique characteristics. In this symposium, gathering world leading scientists, engineers and humanity experts in and around Chubu University and inviting eight members of The Club of Rome, their fusions will find out new principles to remake the future world to be more harmonious and better for everyone.
